This group is operated by the Men’s Heart Support Association (registered B.C. non profit society).
Each support meeting is facilitated by a volunteer leader and co-leader.
The goal of the organization is to be self supporting. There has been tremendous response from the community.

Mission
The mission of the Men’s Heart Association is to provide a safe and inviting venues for male survivors of cardiac issues to come together, tell their story and build resilience while building community. The purpose is to help each other cope with challenges and to recover socially, mentally and emotionally. This group is operated by the Men’s Heart Support Assn. (registered B.C. nonprofit society). Each support meeting is facilitated by a volunteer leader and co-leader. The goal of the organization is to be self-supporting and to promote honest, open sharing and the development of vital relationships for friendship and support
Vision
Our vision is a network of self-supporting groups within a registered B.C. non-profit society that will support men with cardiac issues on a long-term ongoing basis.
Membership Criteria
The only criteria for membership in this group is that you must identify as a male, have experienced cardiac issues and have a desire to build community with other men. Final decisions on group membership are made by the Directors
Group Priorities
The willingness to be vulnerable including self-disclosure of feelings, attitudes, difference and perceptions with the goal of building trust, inner strength and community.
To facilitate diverse and beneficial relationships and encourage new learning
To facilitate Interdependence that recognizes differences but realizes that each offer something that is beneficial.
